Anna Kitanaka

As a British born Japanese national, Kitanaka brought a unique perspective to J@pan Inc. Kitanaka’s blogs focused specifically on the representation of Japan within the Western media, examining a number of high-profile cases including the fallout from the discontinuation of the Mainchi Shimbun’s WaiWai column and the murder of British girl Lindsay Hawker. She also wrote extensively on the Japanese real estate sector and has a keen interest in the nation's evolving legal system. Kitanaka has since moved on to write for another publication, reporting regularly on business in Japan.
