Category: LCD Television
Price: 189,000 - 362,250 yen
Release date in Japan: June 21, 2005

The Gist: Sanyo has announced a new line of high-definition
LCD televisions designed to appeal specifically to die-hard
sports fans. The main feature of the "CAPUJO" series of LCD
televisions is a "Sports Mode" that automatically adjusts the
picture and sound to recreate the "excitement and presence"
of the sport being watched. Any one of five modes -
baseball/soccer/golf, sumo/wrestling, winter sports, marine
sports, marathon/other - can be selected with a simple push
of a button on the remote control.

The CAPUJO series, available in 27" (1280x720) and
32" (1366x768) sizes, comes with terrestrial/BS/110CS digital
and terrestrial analog tuners. The newly developed "VIZON
Engine III" and 10-bit internal processing ensure a high-quality
picture. Two 10W speakers take care of sound output and
Sanyo's "Smooth Sound" technology ensures that volume
levels do not become too loud.

A plethora of video (D4, s-video, composite) and audio (analog,
optical digital) inputs and outputs are provided. A USB2.0 and
SD card slot also allow digital camera photos to be directly
displayed. The 32" model is W81.1 x D29.7 x H64.5 cm in size
and weighs 22 kg.
