How long has your company been doing business in Japan?
While Ixsus is a relatively young company, its core members together have over 60 years of experience in the Japanese human resources industry. Our extensive knowledge of Japanese employment laws and personnel practices, combined with our broad human resources network, enable us to respond quickly and appropriately to a client's personnel needs.

What is your present business focus?
The decreased significance of national boundaries in today's business environment means that firms need personnel with international perspective and global vision. Ixsus focuses on providing services to any company-not only those in the IT industry-which requires this type of bilingual or bicultural professional. Finding these employees is most difficult for organizations new to Japan, and that is why Ixsus specializes in helping these firms.

What differentiates your company from your competitors?
Being a relatively small company means greater flexibility, allowing Ixsus to provide responsive, personalized service. Licensing by the Japanese Ministry of Labor demonstrates our reliability-we aim to build long-lasting relationships with clients. And lower overheads mean Ixsus can charge less than the industry average, allowing us to provide clients with the most cost-effective search possible.

Why should companies use a recruiter instead of advertising directly?
Companies trying to get established in Japan generally do not have the benefit of the kind of HR support available in their home countries. Lack of knowledge of Japanese regulations and procedures complicates matters. And even with placement of very specific ads, a company will get applications from irrelevant and/or unqualified applicants, placing them in a situation where they desperately need staff, but lack even the personnel to handle the selection, interview, and hiring process. It is much more cost-effective for the firm to let us know what its needs are, and then let Ixsus worry about finding suitable candidates. Ixsus can also help create specialized advertising and other recruiting tools to fit a client's particular needs, leading to results not achievable through normal methods.
