What is your present business focus?
Our focus has been on IT recruiting for quality professionals in application, system design and networking to help companies realize "e-business solutions" as we head toward the next century. Currently, our IT-related openings include IT engineers (MVS, AS/400, UNIX, Network/PC-LAN), developers (C/C++, TCP-IP, Java, HTML), IT marketing/sales managers (product marketing, direct sales, channel sales, advertising and marketing communications, training and education). We are also looking for the following non-IT managers and business professionals: a bilingual CFO/financial controller, an accounting manager (with GAAP), a human resources manager and administration and operation support, including logistics.

How do you view the current state of IT recruiting in Japan today?
This is a time of dynamic change in the executive recruiting and consulting business. Recent deregulation in the financial markets in Japan, the currency crisis, and a failing economy has brought about massive changes in the conventional business system, particularly with the massive influx of foreign competition in the financial markets. The introduction of e-commerce, e-trading, and SCM means more and more advanced technologies are needed-network security, data warehousing, and ERP, for example. The new business system also requires a lot of engineers, IT sales personnel, systems analysts, and financial professionals as well. As the Japanese economy shifts its focus more to service and information intensive industries, corporate restructuring and operational reengineering is needed to respond to the emerging challenges of the next century. Part of this process will require new management perspectives and operational approaches, which, in turn, will demand "new" types of executives, managers, and technical professionals. We believe this trend will continue for quite some time.
